These days, God ins't in many relationships. Girls ask the question, "Why am I not married yet?" They are 26, working in their dream career, but they are lacking one thing. They are single. Women ask that questions daily. I want to ask those women a few questions back. Are you praying? Are you WIFE material? Are you trusting in God's timing?
As women, we don't need to walk into a relationship thinking that we become wives when we say "I Do." We need to enter a relationship already wife material. In the bible, Proverbs 18:22, "Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the lord." A WIFE. When you find a rock, it doesn't turn into a rock when you find it. It is already a rock. You don't apply for a job as a doctor, before you have your license. You are ALREADY a doctor.
We don't need to apply for a wife position before we are wife material. As godly women we need to strive to be Proverbs 31 women. We need to pray that God sends us the right husband, when we are ready for a husband. When God sends you a husband, God sees that you are wife material and can support a husband. If you have prayed, and you are fully sure that you are WIFE material, are you trusting in God's timing? Are you trusting that God is working on the husband for you. When a potter make a bowl, he doesn't just throw it all together in a short amount of time. He works with the clay, molds it, forms it, adds to it, takes away the imperfections. Just like God is doing to each one of our husbands.
Currently God is working on your husband. Molding him, shaping him, adding wisdom to him and taking away imperfections that would interfere with him being a godly husband. During this time, God is working on you also. He is shaping you, molding you, adding wisdom to you, and taking away imperfections that would interfere with you being a godly wife.
When we have prayed, and made sure that we are not girlfriend material, but WIFE material, God will introduce the perfect godly husband into your life. At that moment, you will understand all of these times of wonder and doubt. You will the understand that you were not ready for this husband, nor was he ready for you. But at this time, you are ready for each other. You are now ready for a marriage.
