Are you planning a holiday party and need inspiration for appetizers or holiday themed cookies? If so, you are most likely going to search on Pinterest for inspiration. It is no secret that Pinterest has exponentially increased the number of those who attempt DIY projects. Simply pinning a picture or article to your board makes you feel more crafty. In theory, these DIY projects are quick and easy, and provide awesome results. However, many find far too often that their version looks nothing like the picture. In fact, Pinterest ought to put the disclosure "results may vary" somewhere on their website to forewarn inexperienced crafters. Though these projects result in frustration and in some cases tears, the results are just so bad that they are good. Please know you are not alone when your results are not up to par. To make you feel better about your results, or lack thereof, here are a few people who "nailed" the results of their DIY attempts:
1. "My snowman melted a little bit" = Perfect excuse for your lack of decorating ability
2. They look...um...interesting. Well, I'm sure they taste good!
3. How could you mutilate such an innocent looking creature?
4. Maybe next time you should just order these at the local bakery...
5. Or, my personal favorite.
So don't stress if you're not an expert crafter, or if you create things that turn out looking completely wrong. You're not alone! Plus, they make for a good laugh.
