Distance.
The word that scares friendships and relationships. It doesn't matter is your 15 minutes away or 2 hours, distance hurts. We fear distance before it even happens. We constantly think of what could happen between a relationship because of distance, and the over thinking kills us. We envision how much our lives are going to change, how our daily routine becomes a new life we never imagined it to be. We sit weeks before the change happens and overthink how different life is about to become and let the emotions consume our thoughts. A new place, new people, and new adventures begin. Distance is never easy especially when you have to leave someone you love behind in your old life. You pretend that nothing is going to change, but that is never a guarantee. You wish nothing changes between the relationship, but it's so hard to live your old life in a new place.
But change is not always a bad thing. Change can be a good thing and distance can make relationships stronger.
Many times people go through changes and do not know how to deal with it. Change is hard and change is scary. Changes gives you the opportunity to explore and find new things you love and enjoy. Change allows you to find yourself and find other. One of the hardest things about change is stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. This is where people struggle most about change. They are used to their normal routine doing the same activities, set schedule, around the same people, and change throws off their entire system.
Don't give up on someone you love because of distance. Distance makes the heart grow fonder. There will be many times you'll think, do I just give up or try harder. If they really matter in your life, try harder. Show them distance is no issue and that everything within your relationship is still amazing despite the distance. Communication is key in a long distance relationship. Without communication with distance, there is no relationship. The effort to keep each other in each other lives should be more than ever, but in the end, it will be worth it.
You're going to go through hell in the relationship at one point in time, but never give up if it really matters to you. Remember that you love each other and find a way to work through the hard times, which will make you two to be unstoppable. Distance is an obstacle that shouldn't scare you off if you've found someone that you want to be with. With enough effort, long distance relationships aren't impossible at all.
