Every princess has a major.

1. Sleeping Beauty - Criminology

Sleeping Beauty had someone trying to kill her for the first 16 years of her life and had to be separated from her parents essentially being put into a Witness Protection Program. Criminology majors can not be afraid when put in the line of danger and Sleeping Beauty has proven that she is up for the test.

2. Moana - Environmental Science

When the people on her island are unable to fish, Moana takes it upon herself to fix it. She is willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure that things in her village are returned to normal. Environmental science majors are dealing with a similar problem. They want to find a way to fix, or at least decelerate, the effects of global warming on our planet.

3. Pocahontas - Pre-Med/Pre-Vet

A remarkably caring person, Pocahontas just simply wants everyone to live in peace. Like most pre-meds, she wants every one to be happy and healthy. Pocahontas wants to save her people and the animals of the world. Depending on their discipline, these majors just want everyone to be healthy, what's the harm in that?

4. Tiana - Business Major

Tiana starts her own business despite all adversity that she faced. She knows what the people want and knows exactly how to give it to them. This is a key skill for business majors. You have to be able to identify an opening in the market and find the best way to maximize your chances.

5. Merida - Engineering Major

Merida is innovative and understands the dimensions of aerodynamics. Of course, not all majors need this, so she would probably be more in the aero- or astro- field. Not to mention, like many engineering majors, she doesn't really understand how to interact with others.

6. Mulan - Women and Gender Studies

Mulan just does what she wants and refuses to acknowledge the ideas of what a woman should act like. Mulan recognizes that a woman can do anything that a woman can do, and is straight up, bad-ass.

7. Rupunzel - Art

Rupunzel is creative beyond belief and is able to express herself through all mediums of art. Not only does she pain all of the walls in her bedroom, but she is also a fantastic pottery maker and puppeteer. Art majors love just about everything about art and are always looking for new ways to express themselves.

8. Snow White - Early Childhood

Snow White is able to handle all of the contrasting personalities of the dwarves and take care of them all as if she is their mother. This is a talent that usually only a teacher possesses. She is patient with them and does not get angry when they do not behave exactly as they should.

9. Cinderella - Fashion

Cinderella is not normally recognized for her fashion sense; however she is able to up-cycle clothing like it is nobodies business. This is a necessity for fashion majors as materials can be expensive and what sets apart one fashion major from the others is their ability to to construct something out of what seems like nothing.

10. Ariel - Communications

Ariel was able to bring the human world and the sea world together and mend the gaps between the two. She was able to show that not everyone is a monster just because they come from somewhere that you do not know much about. This is important for Communications majors as well because if there is no one to bridge the gap, there will always be hostility and fear.

11. Belle - English

Belle loves to both read and writer. All she wants to do with her time is read literature and analyze it. She would love for others to recognize the importance of literature. I can't imagine that there has ever been an english major who doesn't love to read, so Belle would fit right in.

12. Elsa - Architecture

Elsa is able to make a beautiful ice castle strictly from her thoughts. Granted she would probably have a far easier time than her classmates when it comes to implementing her ideas, I would love to have that kind of detail in my future home.

13. Lottie - Theater

Lottie is all about performing for other people and keeping them entertained. This is the most prevalent characteristic of all theater majors, they love to have all eyes on them. And, of course, she wants to marry a prince.

14. Giselle - Psychology

Giselle is able to analyze the internal problems of others and find solutions to their problems. She is known for her ability to understand both sides of the story and then give advice from there. This is so important for psychology majors to have a grasp on or else they will never be able to give meaningful advice.

15. Mia Thermopolis - Math

She loves math. Only math majors love math.

16. Meg - History

Meg is a problem solver. She would probably want to study past conflicts so that she can avoid any kind of future disaster. History majors, with all that is going on, now is your time to shine.

17. Tinker Bell - Physics

Tinker Bell has been flying her whole life, so she could probably give some helpful tips to her classmates when it comes to what it takes to make things take flight.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
