February seems to be a month that gets overlooked. It’s the coldest month of the year, people are ready for spring, and Valentine’s Day is an overrated holiday (sorry for those who like it). Here are some tips to make February fun and deepening.
Start Journaling
I started journaling a couple months ago, and it has been such a deepening experience. It gives me a space to write down anything I’m feeling and look back to see what was bothering me at that time. Journaling every day only takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and it’s only for a month!
Unplug And Unwind
Spend less time on your phone this month. Put the phone down at meals and when hanging out with friends. Checking my phone to see what’s happening on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter can be stressful, so spend less time on the phone and unwind.
Eat And Drink Well
Eating healthy all the time is not attainable, but it’s easy to take baby steps to a healthier lifestyle. Every day in February, try to make healthier decisions like drinking more water or eating an apple rather than eating a cookie.
Galentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is a cute holiday, but it can also suck for people who aren’t in relationships or recently broke up with their partner. That is why I am a huge supporter of Galentine’s Day. Get your friends together and celebrate how much you all support and love each other. Go to a fun dinner, watch a movie, or craft some cute Galetine’s Day goodies.
Quit Something
I have started something this year called “Quit Something Thursdays.” Basically, I quit something every Thursday that I don’t need in my life anymore. Last Thursday I told myself I would quit not parking well. The Thursday before that I promised to try to start cussing less. There are four Thursdays in February, so pick things that you want to quit and start the process to quit it!
Start Something
Try starting a new hobby this month. Whether that be working out more or crafting more, it will allow you to explore what interests you.
Step Outside Your Comfort Zone
This February, do something that scares you. Put yourself out there and try something that you never thought you would do. This February, I am going skydiving. I’m terrified, but I’m also thrilled to do something outside my comfort zone.
Make February a great month!!
