Dieting: we all hate it and we have all tried it for a day or two. Every hour of everyday is spent thinking about what we cannot eat. The saying "we want what we can't have" was especially made for people who diet (not really but it feels like). So I made a list of every body's thoughts when dieting that is guaranteed to make the avid dieter laugh.
1. The first day you feel great and think to yourself "this isn't so bad".
2. Few days in and your mind is filling itself with images of cake, pizza, fries, burgers and ice cream. The urge to just stuff your face with all your favorite foods have set in and this is just the start.

3. Getting to the gym is almost harder than actually working out. You look for any excuse as to why you shouldn't go; the weather, you have no clean gym pants or your dog just looks way to cute to leave alone.

4. You have to watch your friends and family eat delicious food you wish you could also enjoy. Oh your mom knows you're on a diet? She's going to make your favorite dish tonight for dinner.

5. Dieting is not only giving up food, but alcohol and honestly, this might be the hardest part. It's Taco Tuesday and you can't even celebrate with Tequila and bottomless corn chips and salsa. You start googling things like "drinks with the lowest amount of calories", hoping there is a good person out there who understands.
6. It's the weekend and you made it through the work week without cheating or booze so you deserve a little something.

7. That "little something" has turned into a 24 hour cheat meal and you're not sure how it got to this point. You wake up Sunday morning hungover with an empty box of pizza on the floor.

8. After the night of splurging you try to get back on track which turns out to be harder than starting the diet itself.

9. You accept defeat with some dignity because hey, you had a good 5 days or so.

10. It's the first of the month and you make the choice to diet again.. but we all know where this is going.
