When it came to scheduling classes for next semester, it didn't really dawn on me that I’d be out of college in no time! It's an exciting thing to think about when you're a sophomore and then a junior, but once you pull into senior year, man is it frustrating! So, here I am now, wrapping up my college career with the best grades that I can pull off and trying to figure out the rest of my life. College isn’t just any place to us -- it's home and moving away from home can be so difficult. Believe them when they say that it’ll be over in no time and then go out and make memories!
1. Even though professors didn’t really seem to care, we know they did because of those selfish attendance policies!
Coming to a new place was scary; we needed to feel like there was someone on our side. I know, our parents aren’t replaceable, but filling that void with another caring person is definitely a shot worth taking!
2. There’s a chance that after we graduate from college, we may never attend another college party and that’s okay!
Party while you can, but don’t lose sight of what you came to do. College is so awesome because you always have options. You don’t have to party, but when you need a drink or five, there’s always something going on!
3. You’ll meet some of the greatest (and the worst) people! I sure did!
College isn’t all about going to and from class; there is so much in between that people forget about! There are several opportunities to join organizations, explore who you are as a person and meet some amazing students who can teach you a thing or two! I’ve
4. This is where you’ll have a lot of important firsts!
You’ll take your first jogging class, get your first job, buy a first car -- there will be a lot of firsts during this time, and you won’t forget them, even if you tried!
5. You won’t leave here the same person you came as.
You’ll notice yourself changing in either a good or bad way and you’ll be able to do as you please with those changes. You’ll steer yourself in many directions. H
This isn’t a basic guide to capturing college, and there’s no right way to do it except for your own way. You’ll get confused and may even think about giving up, but you’ll find your way and that’s all that matters.
