Just like any other industry, there are it's ups and downs. Thus, the competition among genres of dance music as well as brands tends to bring out the business side more than the musical side. Do you catch the drift? Perhaps you will when you read the following articles in MixMag and EDM.com.

Yes, trance legend Armin Van Buuren has been accused of plagiarism by the group Underground Resistance. Just that sentence should tell you how ridiculous this is, right? For those who don't know, Armin has a law degree. So as you can imagine, Armin is well aware of laws concerning this topic. Now, the claims by the group may be taken more seriously if it pertained to a track or the like, but a logo for an upcoming residence in Ibiza is hardly an issue. Many artists who have a residency like to keep their announcements and flyers similar to the brand. It's just a simple marketing strategy.

In light of all the negativity in the world, how about we bring each other up instead of down? The mutual love of dance music needs to be embraced and celebrated. Don't you think?
