Ahhh, Thanksgiving, the time of year where you can eat as much as you want and not feel bad about it. Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to spend with friends and family and to remind ourselves of what we should be truly thankful for. But what better way to discuss these things than at a table with mouthwatering food and drinks? When you first walk in your dining room, you notice the beautiful tablecloth that is decorated in the colors and themes of fall. On the table are plates and silverware organized perfectly to give your guest a feel of what is to come. As you and your family begin to sit down, the anticipation rises and your stomach begins to growl.
Soon enough you see trays of food being brought to the table and placed in the center for everyone to see. When the silver top is lifted, your eyes begin to grow and your mouth starts to water. In one corner of the table are the potatoes, but you go for the sweet potatoes since those are your favorite. On the other side are the vegetables such as carrots, green beans, and a bowl of salad, which you take graciously. Other foods that surround the table are the stuffing, gravy, and corn. But at the center of the table is the turkey, which is coated with butter and herbs that release a smell that brings back memories of previous Thanksgivings. One by one your family takes apart the turkey, devouring the potatoes and vegetables, and slurping down your favorite drink. You all eat merrily, and soon you realize that everything is gone and everyone is rubbing their stomachs to symbolize their fullness. But little does everyone know that the most favorite ending of the meal is the desserts. As if you couldn't eat anymore, desserts such as apple pie and ice cream are loaded on your plate. Cookies and delicious pastries are also brought out for everyone to enjoy. Everyone eats the desserts like there's no tomorrow.
Finally, after everyone has had their fill and conversations are done, your guests begin to take off. You say your goodbyes and thank-yous to everyone that came. When the last person leaves, you look at the table and begin to realize what an amazing Thanksgiving you had and thank God for everything He has given you. Before you fall asleep, you think about next Thanksgiving and the wonders it will bring. You fall asleep dreaming about your next Thanksgiving feast.
