You Know You're A Delta Gamma When...
Delta Gamma - Eta Rho

From the moment you accepted your bid, Delta Gamma has been a huge part of your life. Your sisters are your best friends, your support system, your future bridesmaids. Whether you're an alumna or a current collegiate member, we've all shared similar experiences as a part of the same amazing sisterhood. You know you're a DG when:

1. Everywhere you go, you throw what you know

2. Absolutely everywhere

3. Whenever you see something with anchors, you have to have it

4. 75 percent of your wardrobe is bronze, pink or blue.

5. You'll have "Founded in 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi at the Lewis School for Girls" forever ingrained in your memory

6. Service for Sight will always have a special place in your heart

7. You're seriously proud of all the good you and your sisters do

8. Anchor Splash is one of the most fun days of your year

9. You always strive to Do Good

10. You always get excited to watch "Legally Blonde," since Delta Nu's were based off of Delta Gammas

11. You wear your anchor badge with pride

12. You still hold out hope that one day you'll get a 4.0 and receive the lamp of knowledge

13. D-E-L-T-A Delta D-E-L-T-A *clap* *clap* *clap* never gets old

Even if it's stuck in your head for a few weeks after recruitment

14. Work week is the most hectic time of your life, but getting new sisters makes it all worth it

15. Your big is your other half

16. Your sisters are always there for you

17. And you'll always be thankful for your home away from home

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
