What's the best part of going to school in Tallahassee -- the tradition? No. The night-life? No. It is, of course, the food. There are so many options that whatever your heart could possibly desire, it's most likely available. Getting take-out is awesome. You don't dirty up any dishes, and you most likely don't have to wear pants. It's a win-win situation.
Sumo Sabi.
Sushi delivered to you. I thought this always sounded like a dream, but it's very much a reality. The Jimmy Johns of Asian cuisine, essentially. Plus, most rolls are around $8 or less. Even if sushi isn't your thing, entrees like Big Bang Shrimp and classic Chicken Teriyaki will serve your lazy pleasures.
Z Baked.
Too lazy to get up off your couch and bake cookies? Keep eating the cookie dough before putting them in the oven? We've all been there, and that's why Z Baked is amazing. Delicious baked goods delivered to your doorstep. The only downside is that it's quite easy to spend a good $10 to $20 on cookies. But they're so good -- you almost forget that you just spent that much money on cookies. From experience, I highly recommend the Miley Cyrus, a layer of of sugar cookie dough topped with vanilla oreos topped with funfetti. Enough said.
Doughlicious.
Calzones really are the forgotten food from our childhood. I always remember calzone Fridays in elementary school and was shocked once I entered the real world where you don't get to eat inside out pizzas every Friday. Well, now you actually can. Doughlicious is perfect for when you're craving something quick, but an actual pizza just isn't cutting it.
Chubby's.
We've all been there. It's after 2am, you've just had an eventful night at the Strip, including one too many dollar doubles and an hour too long hanging on the wall of Ken's, and McDonald's just isn't going to do it for you tonight. This is when you somehow remember that a little establishment called Chubby's exists. Just a hop, skip, and a drunken stumble down Tennessee Street, Chubby's is there for your late night chicken finger needs.
Merv's Melt Shop.
I never thought I'd be the person to pay for a grilled cheese, let alone get it to-go, but that all changed after Merv's. Ok, technically they're "melts," but there's so much more than that. Tater tots, sweet potato tater tots, or fries if you're not about the tots. You can even create your own melt and put whatever you could possibly think of inside a hot, toasty sandwich.
Whether you're too tired, too busy, or just too lazy, there are many places here in Tallahassee to fulfill your foodie desires.
