You know it’s happening, I’ve finally accepted that it’s happening -- One Direction is coming to an end.
In honor of the end of an era, I took the liberty of ranking every music video that One Direction has ever made. You're welcome.
16. "You & I"
The face morphing is too much for me to overlook. Sorry, guys.
15. "Gotta Be You"
Young One Direction in peacoats and scarves is frickin adorable but it's a bit boring as far as their music videos go. Plus, no one likes seeing Zayn seduce another girl.
14. "Steal My Girl"
I remember just being really confused while watching this video. Also Danny DeVito keeps spitting apples which is a little gross.
13. "Drag Me Down"
It was the first music video without Zayn and I think we all had a hole in our hearts.
12. "Midnight Memories"
One Direction plus old ladies in electric scooters was pretty cute to watch but also Tower Bridge and the scenes of London kinda stole the show there. At least they're having fun.
11. "Perfect"
If you ignore what the lyrics are talking about, it's a very aesthetically pleasing video.
10. "Story Of My Life"
Baby pictures are always a good idea. Family members that look a bit like wax figures... Not so much.
9. "Kiss You"
The best part of this whole music video is a tie between Zayn's blatant eyeliner and Louis' spray tan.
8. "One Way Or Another"
Not only is the video adorable but it's for charity. God bless them.
7. "What Makes You Beautiful"
I know, I know, it's the first one and it should be ranked higher. But if we're looking at these videos objectively -- and I am -- then we have to admit that they've done better. But Harry's fluffy hair and their adorably too-baggy pants land them at a solid seventh place. It would've been 6th, but this was before the directors knew that One Direction fans don't like seeing Harry sing to other girls.
6. "Live While We're Young"
The rowboat move is iconic and Zayn is actually having fun in this music video. It's a miracle.
5. "Little Things"
I could watch them sing about how I'm perfect for hours.
4. "One Thing"
This was back when they would wear matching blazers and suspenders. Good times.
3. "Night Changes"
They've finally given the people what they want -- a chance to go on a date with every member of One Direction. Thank you, Ben Winston.
2. "Best Song Ever"
Zayn is the prettiest girl I've ever laid eyes on, Niall shimmies, Harry is the hottest nerd I've ever seen in my life, Liam acknowledges that he's perfect in very way and they're literally just having fun and being ridiculous. They're cute as a button every single one of them.
1. "History"
Well, lets start with the fact that the video opens on the moment that One Direction was created as a band, so that was bound to get some tears. They complied every beautiful moment the band and the fans have ever shared and then threw in Niall looking cuter than ever in those glasses. My heart hurts.
Well, there you have it. The only thing getting me through this breakup is the reunion tour that’s bound to happen.
