Ah, the Commander in Chief. Strong, powerful, persuasive. There's a certain romanticized notion associated with the title of POTUS. No wonder Hollywood took advantage of that notion and has made hundreds of movies and television shows featuring our nation's head honcho. Here is the executive order of the top fictional presidents of our lifetime:
5. President James William Sawyer - Jamie Foxx, White House Down
Jamie Foxx is pretty yummy by just being Jamie Foxx, but put him in a movie with Channing Tatum, and put in that line about his Nikes...you've got my vote!
4. President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet - Michael Sheen, The West Wing
Smart, witty, and loves trivia? My kind of President. Not to mention his battle with multiple sclerosis. Michael Sheen flawlessly captures Bartlet's passion, making even the most Conservative fall in love with a Democrat.
3. President George Richmond - Dabney Coleman, My Date With the President's Daughter
They definitely don't make movies like this anymore. While most people will remember that iconic pink dress or the creepy eye ring, you've got to love the Dr. Phil lookalike president dad and how uncomfortable he makes Duncan Fletcher that night. Such a dad move.
2. President Fitzgerald Grant - Tony Goldwyn, Scandal
Holy Fitz... I could probably (definitely) write about how much I love Fitz Grant for pages. Am I totally obsessed with Scandal and Fitz and Olivia? Totally. No shame. But Fitz Grant is more than just sexy. He's unbelievably caring towards his crazy wife Mellie, always tries to go by the book, and loves Olivia Pope unconditionally. I want Vermont with you too, Fitz.
1. President Francis J. Underwood - Kevin Spacey, House of Cards
Obviously Frank Underwood is number one. He's cunning, ruthless, and insanely good at getting what he wants. His one-liners are pure brilliance. Maybe it's his Southern charm, maybe it's the way you feel like he's staring into your soul when he talks to you. He's brutally honest, a refreshing take millenials appreciate. Frank Underwood: He's the most bad...for the greater good.
