Throwback to high school when we all used to wake up at the actual crack of dawn and spend hours putting on makeup and curling our hair to go to school…lmao.
Now it's college and most of us roll out of bed - maybe brush our teeth if we’re feeling it - and make our way to our 8 a.m. classes. However, just because going to a huge lecture hall isn’t sufficient motivation to look your best doesn't prevent you from still looking semi-decent and somewhat trendy. And it's not that hard.
Here are some tips on how to dress like a classic college girl.
Invest in a vest
According to Cosmopolitan, you can get a decent black vest from H&M for only $35. This is pretty good, especially when you’re on a college budget. If you’re looking for something a little more durable, The North Face and Patagonia always have amazing down vests that’ll last you a lifetime. This may not be the cheapest way to go, so maybe this is something to ask for at Christmas or save up for. But if not, H&M has great vests and most won’t even know the difference.
Sport Athletic Garb
According to Total Sorority Move, Nike trainers are an absolute must. These are so comfy and practical, not to mention sporty chic is totally in right now. These can be cute with leggings as well as skinny cuffed jeans for a cute and laid back look.
Flannels
Rule #1 of college: you can never have to many flannels. A perfect cozy flannel (especially on cold days) is excellent for wearing to class, doing your homework in, and honestly for sleeping in as well. According to College Fashion, the key to finding a perfect flannel is first looking at how soft the flannel actually is, and then looking at how cute it is. A scratchy thick flannel is terrible, and a fake flannel that isn’t actually flannel is even worse. So make sure you check this out before actually purchasing a new flannel. These are an absolute must and look so cute with your vest and Nike trainers.
