Hard Decisions Make You Who You Are, So Choose Wisely

Every day you make decisions. Some decisions may be small and don't seem like they make an impact, but they do. Every decision you make, whatever the size, makes a difference. They change your entire life.

The other day I was talking with one of my friends and we were reminiscing about our pasts. When I was younger, I changed schools after Kindergarten and the decision was made that I repeated Kindergarten at my new school. If we never made the decision for me to repeat a year, then I most likely wouldn't have met my current best friends and I might not have even gone to the same college. My life might've been completely different.

Every decision you make changes your life and who you are as a person. Some decisions may not change you in a good way but you learn from them. It is important to think about the outcome before making a decision.

Some people make a wrong decision and there could a be small set back or sometimes it's much worse and someone winds up in jail. Sometimes your decisions could hurt other people, it might not have been your intention but it can happen. You never know what change will happen to your life after you make a choice, but that's okay. Every day you make some type of decision, don't think too much about the future. Keep a little spontaneity in your life, you don't need to know everything.

When you are going to make a decision, focus on yourself and what you want for your future. Things might not go as planned but your life will be impacted, all you can hope is that it's for the best. Sometimes, it's crazy to think about what your life would be like if you chose the other option. Your decisions make up who you are, they've all sculpted you into the person you are today. Don't regret what you've chosen.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
