Yes—it’s already December. If you are anything like me you know that the best things about the holidays are the decorations. Here are a few holiday-themed decorations you can make to brighten up your home.

1. Pinecone Garland

The best part about this decoration is that, if you live anywhere near pine trees, it will cost you virtually nothing to make. Get that pine tree smell without the candle, and bring nature into your living room. It’s easier than you think.

2. Holiday Wreath

This DIY is brought to you by the same people that design clothes for Free People, the bohemian clothing boutique. Needless to say, this wreath made up of succulents and berries is original and chic. You will definitely have the most eloquent front door on the block.

3. Outdoor Chandler

In order to buy an “outdoor chandler” like this one, you’d need to spend a bunch of money, and search far and wide. All you really need are a set of white lights and garden twine to make your porch shine bright.

Around the holidays, everybody has a surplus of empty wine bottles. Put your bottles to good use and make a glittery, snowy display to impress your guests. It’s just another reason to drink more wine.

Candles are the simplest and easiest way to make your home feel cozy—this DIY just takes it to the next level. You don’t need to be an expert carpenter to make this DIY a reality either (I know, it looks complicated). Just grab some thick branches and tea lights and let’s get started.
