Dear Me,

As you grow older, you may wonder where life will take you. You may be scared to start looking at colleges and eventually leave home. Let life take its course -- believe me, everything will turn out great.

Make sure to have fun while in high school. Trust me, you will realize that high school was a breeze when you come to college. Enjoy your last years of playing competitive sports and learn in victory and defeat. Remember to listen to your parents, because more often than not they are right. These four short years will go buy in the blink of an eye and sometimes you will wish that you could have them back when college gets tough. But, do not worry, college life will turn out to be fantastic.

Throughout these four years remember to be yourself. You will see people try so hard to impress others and it will come back to bite them in the end. The key to happiness is being you and not being pressured by your peers. You will face times of adversity that you will overcome through confidence and positivity. Remember who your true friends are and stick with them because they will have your back through these tough times. At the same time, do not be afraid to try new things and be adventurous. In terms of decision making, everyone makes mistakes but if you go with your gut a majority of the time you will make the right decision. The high school experience molds you into a well-rounded individual and prepares you for college.

That term "college" is not so scary after all. Throughout the college process do not be stressed -- you are lucky enough to at least apply and see what happens. Throughout the tours and visits see what every school has to offer. Make sure you pay attention to how you feel at each school because that is all that matters. Choose a school with an inclusive, family-like atmosphere in which you are comfortable. This decision is the most important decision you have made in life so far. In the end, it will turn out to be the best decision you will ever make. Do not be nervous to leave your family behind. You will become so much more independent and confident in yourself when you go away to college. Realize how blessed you are to go away to college because some of your peers will not be able to seize that opportunity.

Break out of your shell and have fun -- that is what will make high school memorable. You will look back on this time with no regrets. Fast forward to now, and it all paid off, you are as happy as ever!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
