To My Younger Sister As She Ventures Through High School,

I hope you enjoy it. I hope you are happy and you find everything you are looking for. But most of all, I hope you learn.

I hope you learn more than just in the classroom. I hope you learn in the classroom and get an education. I hope you learn about your friends and the people around you. I hope you learn about your family. But most importantly, I hope you learn about yourself.

I'll start with the most simple one, learning in the classroom. I want you to get the best education you can and for you to be able to have countless options when it comes to college. I hope you do learn about all the history things and the different math problems and the different things you need for the S.A.T. because this will help guide your future.

Next, I hope you learn about your friends and the people around you because you will be dealing with them for the rest of your life. You will be dealing with people who like you, people who don't like you, people who want to change you, and people who don't even remember your name. Sadly, it is just how the world works now a days. But I hope you stay true to yourself.

One more thing before I get to the big one, I hope you learn about your family. Your family are the people who raised you and molded you into the young woman you are. I hope you learn, if you don't already know, that your family will always be there for you. Your family is your biggest support system. They will be there when you walk across the stage at graduation, when you get your college degree and for all your major milestones.

Lastly and most importantly, I hope you learn about yourself. You are the most important and most amazing you there is. You are the only you and you need to cherish that and treat it like a special diamond. Never let anyone change you, but don't be closed off the other's opinions. Don't ever let anyone tell you how to live your life, make your own decisions, but be aware that sometimes you are going to need a little help.

So little sister, my biggest wish for you is that your learn during high school. I hope you grow and cherish who you are and all the moments that occur. I hope you learn about the history and the people around you. I love you little sister and I know you will do great things!
