Dear Kanye,
When will you learn? You don't mess with Taylor Swift.
Right when I thought you and Taylor had finally healed old wounds... you show your true colors once again.
"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that bitch famous."
The line that shocked the world. Not me.
Talk about jaw-dropping. I honestly can't even say I'm surprised that something so degrading came from your mouth. Not only was this lyric demeaning toward Taylor, but what about your own wife, Kim? You talk about wanting to have sex with another woman. You say she gave you her blessing, but I just don't get it. Joke or not, that's rude and disrespectful in all aspects. There is no way to justify those words.
For someone who calls himself a "genius," why do you stoop so low in using such misogynistic lyrics? If you're so much smarter than everyone else, then why is your music filled with more expletives than actual meaning? You rant on and on about the fact that "bitch" is used as an endearing term in hip hop and rap culture... In what world is that OK? Last time I checked, whenever someone I know is referred to in that regard, it's an insult. Let me remind you that you want the world to refer to you as "Yeezus".... or Jesus. Can you say egotistical? Please let me know how you are portraying Him at all.
Dissing Taylor Swift not once, but twice. Dude, you really have a lot to learn. In case you didn't know, there's a way to use other artists for publicity that doesn't mean throwing them under the bus. Name one time when someone going against Taylor came out on top. She's famous because she made herself famous. Don't try to take that away from her. It's impossible. She's worked hard if not harder than any other artist in the industry to get where they are at.
Let me remind you of the night you try so hard to forget. You say it haunts you. A young artist was on that stage receiving her first ever VMA award that she so rightfully deserved before you rudely interrupted her. You talk so much about how you want to leave that night in the past and how you're a different person now. Have you proved it? Not that I can see. You go around thinking you're so above the world, but have you even really looked in the mirror? 38 years old and still growing up now...
You, just like so many other rap and hip hop artists, have all the power in the world. Why not make a change for the better? Let's stop degrading women in music and acting like it's OK. Let's shape the way the young generation looks at the world. Let's make a change.
