Dear future husband,
It is really hard to begin this letter to you. I wonder every day if I have met you. Do you go to my school? Have I known you my whole life? Are we not going to meet each other for another 10 years? I have so many questions about you and think about you all the time. I want you to know that I pray for you and your family every night and can't wait until the day we get married and start some sort of exciting life together.
Unlike most of my friends, I have never really been in a relationship. Sometimes I think it must be me, like there's something wrong with me that guys just aren't into me. I've had my heart broken in the craziest ways, and I'm scared of disappointing you. But then I think, I deserve my fairytale, too. I know you're out there waiting for me, and I'm waiting for you, too.
I hope you're prepared for how high maintenance I am. I'm always singing and I'm actually really good at it, so I hope you're ready for lots of jam sessions. I have a long list of names that I want to name our children, but don't worry, I won't tell you this until at least our third date (Just kidding!). I love watching the same movies more than once and saying the lines with the actors. I get really defensive when I watch award shows. I love chicken cutlets. I love being on the beach and getting tan in the summer. And last but not least, my family is very important to me, so be ready to learn all of my cousins names real quick because there is a lot of family who has been asking me where you are for a very long time.
I promise to love everything about you and to be the best wife and best friend that I can be to you. I promise not to get mad when you leave the toilet seat up, or forget to put away the milk after you make your coffee. I promise you that I will never keep you from the guys and I won't get upset when you need to go to your man cave to play some video games that I will never understand.
I can't wait to decorate our house with pictures that we take on all of our adventures, and add to it when we have children and make more memories with them. I hear people talk about how amazing it is to marry their best friend, and I can't wait to know what that feeling is like.
I promise you that we will work through every bump we hit in the road. My children will never have divorced parents. They won't have to worry about if they're with Mommy or Daddy on Christmas because you and I are going to have something so amazing and special that our love will be unbreakable. This is a promise I am making to you because I love you more than I love myself. My heart is reserved for you only and anyone that I meet before finally settling down with you will never compare to the beautiful future we are going to have.
I have been waiting a very long time for you, and I don't know how much longer I will have to wait. However, I do know one thing, and that is that we are going to be the most amazing couple that anyone has ever seen and our love is going to be better than the greatest love stories ever told. My love, I know you are so worth the wait and I can't wait for our future.
Love,
Your future wife. XO
