Dear Future Husband

I am praying for someone that may not even be in my life yet.

Dear Future Husband,

I have been praying for you for YEARS! I may or may not even know you yet, but you have been in my heart ever since I fell in love with Jesus. He has promised me that it will happen in His perfect timing and I just have to be patient. I pray for your health and safety, but most importantly I pray that you are seeking Him.

I pray that our marriage will always keep God at the center and all of our decisions will be made through deep prayer and guidance. I pray that we will fully trust in God's will during the good times and hard times. As individuals and as a couple, we will dig deeper into our faith alongside each other. The foundation of our marriage will be our faith, His Word, prayer, love, patience, encouragement, and forgiveness. I understand that we are both human, so it will not be perfect. We will both mess up and we both have already messed up. But I promise to love you as you are. I promise to love you and your imperfections. I promise to love you from the moment that we say, "I do," to the moment that I take my last breath.

In our family, you will be the head of the household. I will come to you first with all of my decisions. We will raise our kids in a loving home where conversations about Jesus occur daily. We will remind them every day how much we love them and how much they are worth. They will be told from the day that they are born that they are loved by the Creator of the Universe! We also will set examples for them in faith and in love. We will teach them what it's like to walk in faith and live their lives for Christ. We will also show them what it is like to love someone. We will show them what it is like to have a healthy marriage that glorifies the Lord.

I am so excited to see God work in our lives. I will continue to pray for you daily.

Love,

Your Future Wife

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
