Dear Future Husband, I Hope That...

Dear Future Husband-

I hope that you're really sure you wanna marry me, because I'll be sure I wanna marry you. I hope you're okay with whatever wedding I dream up, because trust me, the entire thing is already planned on Pinterest. It'll be one of the best days of our lives, and the spotlight will be on both of us- I hope you're ready for it. I hope that when I come down the aisle, everything fades away and you're thinking about our future together, because that's what I'll be thinking too.

I hope you can cook, because if not, every take out restaurant in a 10 mile radius will get to know us. I hope that I won't keep you up when I watch Netflix until 2am. I hope you can amuse me during boring holiday parties. I hope you can keep up with me, because as you'll come to find out, I have a lot of hopes and dreams, but I also have a lot of ambition to make them happen. I hope we have endless adventures, whether they're in our own town or across the world. I hope we can run to Wendy's at midnight just because we wanted a Frosty and french fries. I hope you're okay with watching an endless stream of Disney movies and baking chocolate chip cookies on a Sunday afternoon. And, honestly, I hope we make mistakes. I hope we fight. Because that means we're talking things out and being open with each other. Right now, I don't know a lot about marriage, but I know that's a necessity. I hope that you always feel you can come to me with problems, because after all, we'll be a team. I hope everyone in my family will be able to see what a wonderful man I know you'll be, and I hope to God that they like me too. I hope we can grow, as a couple and individually.

I hope, if we have kids, God willing, that they'll want a love like ours for their future. I hope you know you're gonna help change diapers, no question about it. I hope you can teach them how to ride a bike and help with their math homework, because I was always terrible in math. I hope our girl feels protected by you, our boy learns how to be a proper man from you, and both of them look up to you and the wonderful person you are. I hope we raise them right. I hope they hold doors for strangers. I hope they strive for the dreams in their mind because that's what we always did. I hope we can provide for them and become parents in the way we doubted we could.

I hope we're the best team that the world has ever known. You'll be the yin to my yang and the answer to my lifelong quest for a knight in shining armor. I hope you're everything I've always wanted, and if you're not what I expected, I hope that I'm open to receiving what life has decided to give me. I hope I can understand why my expectations were unfulfilled; hopefully, only because life decided to give me something better then I could have imagined. I hope that you can be more than I wanted for myself and I hope that I can be that for you too.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
