Dear Coffee,
I love you. I'm coming on a bit strong, I know, but it is the truth. As most people know, there are few things I feel strongly about (or love). However, you are at the top of the list.
I could go on and on about why I love you, and I most likely will. Let's start with the most obvious reason: you lift me up. You know just how to put that extra little pep in my step and get my butt moving. You are the reason I can get up before 9 a.m., you are the biggest reason I can tolerate people, and you know just how to motivate me. Caffeine is love. Caffeine is life.
I love you in all of your shapes and sizes. You can be iced, hot, grande, venti, doesn't matter to me. Shot or no shot, whip or no whip, room for milk or not. No one will ever hand me a large iced coffee and see me refuse to drink it. Oh, my god, I wanted it hot with a double shot! You can't do anything right! Nope, never happening.
You would follow me anywhere, and I thank you for that. You are the best travel companion a girl could ask for. You can travel in a car, bus, train, plane, even a bike. You can follow me to work, to class, even to the beach, (I don't drink coffee on the beach, but it's still a possibility). And thank god your travel mugs a durable, because I am clumsier than I'd like to admit and have an incredibly high risk of dropping you.
You could never bore me. Mocha one day, caramel the next, maybe get crazy and do peppermint the next, who knows! You can spice it up whenever you want, and no commitment issues. I'm glad I won't wake up one morning regretting I have mocha coffee every day and dream about what it would be like to have french vanilla. You give me options, which indecisive people like me need.
And lastly, you give me that warm fuzzy feeling, and not just because you are a hot beverage. When I get to drink you, you make me happy. I've got a delicious drink that makes me warm, energized and pretty relaxed all at the same time.
So thank you coffee, for being you. Thank you for bringing joy not only to my life but to just about everyone else's lives too. Oh, and don't ever let anyone compare you to tea. Tea is great, but you are way better.
Love,
A coffee addict.
