Dear best friends,

I want to take a second just to thank you.

I want to thank you for all the times you went out of your way to make me feel better, even when you were not in the right mindset yourself.

I want to thank you for letting me be my true and genuine self around you, and for accepting that person because I know a lot of people wouldn’t.

I want to thank you for dealing with my stupidity. I know I have my moments, but you put me straight and in a way that is not hurtful.

I want to thank you for giving me the best laughs of my life. The ones where I cant feel my face and my stomach hurts.

I want to thank you for putting up with my random days of sadness, and for not making me feel useless or hard to handle when I have those days.

I want to thank you for picking me up and pushing me forward.

I want to thank you for those nights I come crying to you over a boy, and for reassuring me that any boy who makes me cry is not worth my time.

I want to thank you for listening to me talk about my life and being there for me like my own personal therapists.

I want to thank you for allowing me into your homes and making me feel so wanted there. Not many people would open their homes to a stranger, and still make them feel so welcomed and loved.

I want to thank you for never turning your back on me even when we were having a rough time. We have our hard times, but at the end of the day there is nothing that could break our friendship.

I want to thank you for recognizing I am upset without me even having to say it. You almost know me more than I know myself, and you will be the first ones to call my bluff if I try to hide it.

I want to thank you for keeping me in line when I am being unreasonable or too sensitive. I know I can get sensitive and react in a way I should not. But you are always there to tell me to knock it off.

I want to thank you for recognizing my flaws but still loving me anyways.

I just really want to thank you for loving me unconditionally.

You have done so much more for me than you will ever know. You have made me feel loved when I thought I was unlovable. You have given me strength in times when I felt my weakest. I will forever be grateful for you, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you.

So from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you.

Thank you for being you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
