I'm not sure why Dean Winchester from "Supernatural" is so damn relatable for college life, but take a look and see for yourself:

1. When you try to act interested during a lecture.

2. When you and your classmates stress over a difficult assignment.

3. Those rare nights of no academic responsibility.

Giphy

4. When you totally space out, and you suddenly hear your professor say, "This will be on the final exam."

Giphy

5. Let's not forget about the those weird college boys.

Giphy

6. When you and your roommate are basically the same person.

Giphy

7. When someone important asks you what your best quality is.

Giphy

8. When you and your roommate find another person who's just as crazy as the both of you.

Giphy

9. Do I even need to mention the dining hall food?

Giphy

10. When your buddies leave to go party, but you're not a social butterfly.

Giphy

11. Or when you're a partygoer and have no memory the next morning of said party.

Giphy

12. When you realize you're the only freshman in a class of juniors and seniors.

Giphy

13. When you have to stay up until 4am to finish a project and have to be at class at 8am.

Giphy

14. When you have to fool your professors and peers into thinking you've got your crap together.

Giphy

15. After you explain to a classmate how you did well on an assignment.

Giphy

16. Or trying to explain why you totally bombed an assignment.

17. And don't get me started on study groups.

Giphy

18. When you have to encourage your fellow classmates.

Giphy

19. When you miss class because you "overslept" and another classmate gives you their notes.

Giphy

20. When your roommate(s) questions your lack of sleep, but they were the ones keeping you awake.

Giphy

21. When you don't understand a single word in the lecture.

Giphy

22. When you hear naughty activity occurring in the dorm room next door.

Giphy

23. When you forget your project was due TODAY.

Giphy

24. When your peers think you're weird, but you don't see why.

Giphy

25. And when anyone on campus tries to push your buttons.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
