When preparing for a night out, there's always one friend who decides to turn the pregame into the game and gets absolutely belligerent before you even make it to your final destination. Sometimes you're that friend, and other times you're that friend's chaperone. No matter what, we will always look out for each other, but there are certain things that go through one's mind when they take on the role of Mom of an overgrown toddler for the evening.
When you tell her not to take the last shot before leaving, and she insists that she can handle it and absolutely NEEDS it.
Then as you're walking down the street to your destination and she proceeds to start rapping "No Interruption" at the top of her lungs.
When you arrive at the frat (which happens to be her ex's house) and you have to give her a few reminders before going in.
Then she scampers away to go find an elevated surface/more alcohol, and you make eye contact with her from across the room.
Aaand then you see her harassing her ex.
When the new girl he's talking to gets pissed and you have to drag your friend away, so you immediately start bashing the replacement girl to keep the tears from coming.
So then you guys dance to show the ex how much fun she's having without him.
The next thing you know she's making out with some random homeboy on a platform and you're finally just like...
When she separates herself from homeboy and is clearly fading fast.
After picking her up off the sidewalk 12 times, you finally get her home and have to physically force her in bed with a water bottle and a box of Cheez-Its no matter how hard she fights.
Even though you love the girl to death, you start to think that you deserve an award for putting up with these antics. Then you remember she'll return the favor next weekend.
