Finding dates to impress your crush or show your significant other you care can be hard when balancing your budget with your creativity. The good news is most girls are easy to please, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to think of some good date ideas.

In the end, as long as you're spending time together outside of your dorm room you can't go wrong, but if you're struggling to come up with ideas here are 22 to help you out.

1. Go to a new dining hall

Make the trek across campus to try something new!

2. Walk around the town square or downtown area

Maybe stop in some stores, people watch or get some ice cream while you do it.

3. Go to a basketball game together

A classic, really.

4. Or any sporting event really

Especially if certain sporting events are free to students!

5. Study at the lib together

Order a pizza to the library and support each other's futures!

6. Or Starbucks

Another standard study spot, but let's be real the coffee is expensive and not necessarily good.

7. Order delivery from a favorite restaurant

Mr. Delivery, Joy Run, the establishment itself... the possibilities are endless.

8. Go thrifting in the town

No purchases required.

9. Visit the humane society or pet store to play with the puppies

This date could last all day...

10. Go on a picnic if it's warm enough

May sound cheesy but it's sure to put a smile on your faces!

11. Or go sledding and build a snowman together.

Throw in some hot chocolate after and you're all set!

12. Hike

Its free, it's healthy, and its something to do together alone or in a group.

13. Take a day trip to the closest city

Most schools have cheap/free shuttle services to allow you to have a night out on the town.

14. Play board game/card games

Perfect for a rainy day, or when it gets below freezing outside!

15. Play video games that you both will enjoy

This more than likely does not include Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, or whatever trend comes next.

16. Walk around Target together

Yes, going to Target together counts as a date.

17. Listen to music while driving around town

(if you have access to a car)

18. Partake in your school's traditions

(i.e. running through a fountain together or finishing a school challenge)

19. Tailgate together or crash a house party

An adventure for sure.

21. Go to a musical, play, or show that your school is putting on

Sometimes they can be free to students, or a cheap option for a different date idea.

22. Find a food truck

'Nuff said!

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
