UA Bachelorette: Meet Danielle Weniger

A new week calls for a new and the first UA Bachelorette of 2017! Meet Danielle Weniger! This blonde, theatre-loving gal is the definition of fun and adventurous! If you're looking for someone to keep your life exciting then look no further and read what Danielle has to say about herself!

Hey y'all! I am a sophomore majoring in Telecommunications and Film and Social Work. I am from Southern California, but I love traveling all around the country and I hope to visit every state (at least once!) Here at UA, I've been involved with SGA, UADM and am a part of the Million Dollar Band Color Guard. Currently, I am involved with the theatre honor society ΑΨΩ, which means I love to dance and (sometimes) make a fool of myself on stage, plus I would never turn down a date to see a show. I also compete with the Miss America Organization, which encompasses some of my biggest passions: volunteering, performing and staying healthy –plus getting glammed-up every once in a while is pretty fun too!
In my free time, if I'm not catching up on some much-needed sleep, you can probably find me at Heritage House, at a UA sporting event, or at home binge-watching Netflix. Also, my favorite way to relax is to paint or do some other crafting!
Now while I don't know if I'm necessarily looking for love on the University of Alabama Odyssey page... I'd love to meet some new and interesting people, and discover what makes them tick – and maybe when I'm least suspecting it, I will find my perfect match!
So if you're interested in spontaneous coffee dates or road trips, baseball games or gymnastics meets, rapping all the words to Hamilton or belting out the entire Queen discography, or just renting a dog for a day and sitting on the quad, then I'm definitely the girl for you! Roll Tide! — Danielle

C'mon guys! Puppy dates, road trips, and sporting events? What else could you ask for? Be sure to make her yours before someone else does.

Keep an eye out for next week's UA Bachelor!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
