Daenerys Targaryen, a bunch of things and now the leader of the Dothraki

How Daenerys’ latest stunt with the horse people does not sit well with me, and I need answers. (SPOILERS)

Even before I start talking about what happened, and how it doesn’t make any sense to me, I would in all caps like to repeat, this article is filled with spoilers. If you’re not caught up with the new season/episode, or haven’t seen any of "Game of Thrones," but would like to in the future, this is not the place to be.

Okay, so we just had the fourth episode air on last Sunday (I know right, only six more to go), and people who follow the show fairly regularly know that the TV version has taken a different route from the books. And something’s don’t make sense to me. Hence, the article.

Game of thrones season six: episode four, we saw Daenerys Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, and the Mother of Dragons begin her influence over the Dothraki people in their very own home, Vaes Dothrak.

But, how did she managed to do all this. The Dothraki are not normal people. They are like angry teenage kids who listen to emo-ish punk-ish rock songs, because when you tell them something, they think that’s crap. And they will do what they want to.

*Alternate universe

Friend – “Why are you eating with your face in the plate?”

Drogo – “Cause my mom said I should use utensils, but I don’t want to. I ain’t listenin to nobody. Bitch”

Friend – “Oh…Okay…”

Back to reality. So yes, Daenerys, the first of her name… (see above) actually overcame the Dothraki people, and kind of over powers them now? I don’t know, we will have to see. But, what we saw was everyone bowing down to her. Which is pretty good. I don’t understand two things particularly, and I really hope they clear this up in the future episodes.

First, I would really like to know how it was that smooth to become the higher power. I mean, what she did was not an easy thing. She did burn a couple of Khal’s, which included the main one, and burned down the temple, came out baring in all her pride and glory, and people bent the knee. It’s just too effortless. So, next time someone opposes the Khaleesi, she can just gather them with her in a room, make sure no loved one is there, and then burn the place down.

So all she really needs now is ships, and she can use the same idea in Westeros. She doesn’t even have to go to the trouble of lighting up the place herself, it could be done by one of the dragons, or even by the lover and friend-zoned man, Daario and Jorah respectively.

I just couldn’t wrap my head around how it was that smooth. I was expecting some self-respecting Dothraki people come forward and fight or attempt to harm her or do something, and not just bend the knee, because that kind of goes against their personality. They are known to be proud of their culture, and she just killed some heavyweights, and kind ruined their tradition of widowed Khaleesis.

Second, it’s something which was already brought up right after the episode aired. So, I really want to know. Daenerys what's up with the whole unburnt thing?

George R.R. Martin, actually said that Targaryens are not immune to fire. Yet, in the show she is shown as if they are. I mean I get the fact that things have been changed, but this is a strong character trait. The dragons however do possess magical properties and one might say she is immune or usually unharmed by their fire, but they are nowhere near her. She literally just flicked a couple of fire lamps down. And frankly, it looks like the writers took an easy way out.

*Writers (GoT)(Hypothetical)

1 - “So how do we get Dany outta there?”

2 - “Well we can always have Daario and Jorah save the day, think about how that could happen”

1 - “ummm… She is a Targaryen, so let’s just burn the place down, kill the khal’s and baam!”

2 - “Oh, okay I guess, but won’t she die with them, or do we bring Drogon back?”

1 - “Meh”

Thank you to reddit for the picture above. I just think that some points which are so crucial should stay the way they are. And there should have been some resistance or some huddles for Daenerys to take over the entire Dothraki group of peeps.

I am a very avid fan of "Game of Thrones," and it is a brilliant show. I just really hope there is some explanation to this smooth coup thingy the mother of dragons just did. As long as it makes sense I am okay with it. Even if it is not according to the books.

Okay, my rant is over. Peace.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
