Trying food from different cuisines is almost like going to that place and experiences its vibe.

Authentic food from another country/city allows you to walk in their shoes and feel a little bit closer to figuring out how the world works over there.

I have always loved trying different dishes that are not my own cultures and this list is some of the ones that I have loved.

1. Mexican

Mexican cuisine definitely consists of rice, beans, tortillas, and guacamole, but at authentic places, you'll find much more variety than your usual tacos.

2. Vietnamese

Vietnamese pho? A Vietnamese noodle soup with broth, meat, and herbs is such a good choice for food at any time.

3. Korean

Go for a Korean BBQ when you are really hungry and you want to spend two hours with some people.

You will be seated around a table with a grill in the middle where you can put your choices of meat such as bulgogi beef or pork belly, for example.

Side dishes such as salad, rice, kimchi, or pajeori (spicy green onion salad) are usually included.

4. Japanese

Forget Chicken Teriyaki, Japanese cuisine has much more to offer. Try ramen varieties or the California roll, for example.

Japanese food is one of a kind. You will never mistake it. Sushi, sashimi, unagi, and sake… we all know this. But this cuisine is not only about products and recipes, here a lot is about their indigenous culture and traditions. It is not surprising then that they made the whole world eat with chopsticks instead of knives and forks.

5. Californian

Your visit in LA won't be complete without them – especially after a night out. You can literally have any type of food you want – Korean fusion tacos, German Currywurst, Hot Dogs, lobster, Sushi, etc.

6. Persian

My actual go to cuisine and one of my top cuisines ever. The shawarma? Fantastic. Kebab? Great. Rice? Brilliant. Everything else? Also good. You can't go wrong.

7. Thai

Like many other Asian cuisines, Thai cooking uses rice as a basic ingredient for the majority of dishes. The word "food" in Thai means literally "to eat rice". It has so much variety that I can only tell you that you should try all of it.

And there are many more that I did not get to talk about but as a foodie, these are all a must.

Your mom cooks the best food ever in the universe obviously. But if one day you want to try food which (would never be better of course) would be different from your mother's, then this article is for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
