Crocs? In or Out?

If we could time travel back to a decade ago, we would be surrounded by flare jean wearing, Razor scooter riding, MySpace using people. "High School Musical" just made its big debut and everyone is repping their yellow LiveStrong bracelets. Most importantly, Crocs are in style!

What goes around, comes around, people. History repeats itself. Wearing Crocs growing u got you a pass into the in-crowd. Being 8 years old and customizing your own foam shoes was the next best thing. “Jibbitz” were sold alongside Crocs. These were little charms used to stick in the holes of the shoes so you could express your personality.

Good thing for nurses, teachers, and gardeners, their long loved footwear is coming back in style!

Kids weren’t the only ones that enjoyed the foam shoes, adults did too. Men and women wore them because of how comfortable they were and also for their so-called health benefits. Women usually do not hesitate to make sizable investments in fashion, accessories included. So why is there a great influx of cheap and not-so-chic guilty-pleasure footwear?

It's not just your Science teacher that is wearing these foam monstrosities. Celebrities have been photographed in Crocs too.

Crocs made its way to London’s Fashion Week and now everyone is talking about them. For his spring/summer 2017 collection, Scottish designer Christopher Kane decided to pair his avant-garde, funky womenswear with embellished Crocs featuring charms, letters and even colorful crystals.

People are not only wearing crocs, as a statement, they're also getting tattoos. An internet star, Christine Sydelko, got a tattoo of a simple Croc. What a dedicated fan!

Although the hype for these slip on shoes is slowly starting to pick back up, a lot of people feel the exact opposite and find no interest in the hideous foam. Either, you're all in for these bad boys or you're gonna stay away from them as far as possible.

Whether your purpose when wearing these shoes are for high fashion, or just to simply feel a sense of nostalgia, the trend is definitely coming back!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
