Valentines Day is coming up, which is, quite possibly one of the biggest Hallmark holidays that we as Americans celebrate. It’s a day filled with love, chocolate and maybe a new puppy (because who needs roses when you can gift a puppy?). It's a great holiday for many, and while you probably have plans to celebrate with your loved ones, whether it’s a boyfriend/girlfriend or just a bunch of friends, it’s only right to buy a gift. If you haven’t got a clue what to get your loved one for the big Hallmark holiday, look no further. The Washington community here at Odyssey has come up with the perfect guide for you. None of our ideas are generic or lame, but creative and something that we know your loved one will appreciate.
1. Bouquets
No, not a bouquet of flowers. Who needs flowers when you can gift a bouquet of, let’s say, chicken nuggets? It’s pretty clever if you ask us, and who doesn’t want a bouquet of chicken nuggets or French fries? We couldn’t resist such a gift, and we don’t think you would either.
2. Coupons
There’s nothing quite like gifting your loved one with coupons, and no, not just any kind of coupon. A coupon you create! Coupons are the most inexpensive piece of fun you can add to your relationship. Maybe you want to give your loved one a spa day or a day for shopping or whatever else she/her/your best friend, etc may be interested in. There are so many different directions you can take them. Here are some examples:
3. Compliment Cards
Who doesn’t love a compliment? We know we do! Compliment cards a simple way to make someones day. You can buy them online, put them all in a card or a jar of some sort and have your loved one open a new one everyday. That way, they will get a compliment everyday and we are sure that is the best medicine.
4. Be Mine Cards
The card doesn’t necessarily have to say “Be Mine” but it’s the question that counts, right? If you really want a certain someone to be your valentine, buy a “Be Mine” card. They’re not that expensive.
5. Love Box
Buy a box filled with stuff your loved one loves. You can fill the box with cards, candy, surprises or letters of encouragement. Get creative. We guarantee that your loved one will love it.
6. Chick-fil-A
Who doesn’t want CFA on Valentines Day or everyday for that matter?
7. Netflix Binge Watching
Do you just want to stay in on Valentines Day? No worries, there’s plenty of Valentines Day movies on Netflix that you and your valentine will love. Make dinner, eat popcorn and binge watch movies on Netflix. Who could say no to that?
8. Taylor Swift Mix Tape
Love her or hate her, we don’t care. Everyone in the world knows Taylor Swift has the best love songs in the history of ever. I mean, have you heard “Love Story,” “Enchanted” or “You R In Love”? If you haven’t, you’re missing out. Make your Valentine a mix tape of Taylor’s best love songs. They’ll love it. We promise.
9. Love At First Slice Pizza Globe
Pizza has always been our first love. Need we say more?
10. Puppy
Everyone wants a new puppy. EVERYONE. Make sure to deliver it with a rose.
