It's October now and you know what that means? It means we still have high 80-degree weather and we can't wear fall clothing yet! Man, I love this heat. No, but what I actually meant to say was that it's spooky season. Witches flying around, trick or treaters waltzing through their neighborhoods, scary movie marathons, and of course awesome costumes. Now I always run into the problem of what I want to be every year for Halloween, so this year I want to help YOU. More specifically, I want to help those couples out there who want to be all cute and get those Instagram likes because their costume idea is absolutely adorable.
There are endless ideas of couple's costumes ideas. Seriously, go on Pinterest and search up "couples costumes" and you will get TONS of ideas and suggestions. It's a great source to get the ball rolling, I highly suggest it. But today I'm going to share my ten favorite couple's costumes ideas that maybe you couples out there might find interesting!
1. Steve and Blue
You cannot go wrong with the realm of Blue's Clues. A childhood memory that most kids in college know nowadays. It's simple, yet unique! You can do a DIY version of this for very cheap, or buy the costume online. Either way it is definitely a jaw dropper choice of a costume idea. Consider it, and find those clues.
2. Jim and Pam
This is going to be a heavily biased suggestion because I love Jim and Pam. Who doesn't? If you go out as these two with your S.O. you will be the center of attention for the night. Best part is, you MOST LIKELY have their articles of clothing in your wardrobe. No need to go buy anything! Perfect option for you two if you're trying to save money AND be cute AF.
3. Danny and Sandy
Grease is the word AND the move. Being a Greaser is always a great idea for a costume. For the boy: black jeans, black or white tshirt, slicked back hair, and converse. For the girl: sexy black top, black jeans, fancy heels/shoes. Always a great couples option because it is a classic, sexy, and suave choice. Another very cheap option too. Danny and Sandy kicking it off with those "Summer Nights" during the spooky season.
4. Buddy the Elf and Jovi
Buddy the Elf what's your favorite color? It is never too early for Christmas, so tell the haters to back off and get in the holiday spirit for Halloween! You never really see this when going out to a party or trick or treating, so this will definitely be an attention grabber. Especially those yellow tights my gosh. Buddy and Jovi? Great idea if you and your partner love being festive all year round.
5. Mickey and Minnie
Bring the Happiest Place on Earth to your home! Super simple, yet cute costumes for two people in love. Grab your Mickey ears, put on those whiskers, and get the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse spooky this Halloween season. If one of you has a dog, try pretending it's Pluto! (Don't do that, that is a VERY bad idea. It'll eat all of the candy).
6. Flo from Progressive and Jake from State Farm
This is Jake from State Farm. No this is Flo from Progressive. Wait. It's BOTH. How creative is this? Two iconic insurance figures coming together to be spoopy. Nothing more hilarious than that. Grab your price gun and name tag, and spread some insurance advice while bobbing for apples.
7. Lady and the Tramp
Ah. A classic. Princess meets the frog. Wait, wrong Disney movie. Love spaghetti and dogs? This one's for you. Make some great spaghetti, put on those dog ears, and you're ready to recreate one of Disney's most romantic scenes of all time.
8. Mr. and Mrs. Incredible
THIS. IS. IN. Incredibles 2 came out this past summer, and they came out with great costumes for these characters. What I love about this idea is that if you have a friend who always third wheels, he can be Frozone! A 2 for 1 deal. Okay that definitely isn't what this idea is, but it's an option. Get SUPER sexy and scary with your significant others, and feel incredible with this couple's idea.
9. Squints and Wendy Peffercorn
YOU'RE KILLING ME SMALLS. If you haven't seen the Sandlot yet, then just leave. This idea is absolutely unique, hilarious, and original. Baseball fans will love you, and fans of the movie will think you both are the hottest couple of the night.
10. Sailor and Nurse
This is a casual costume idea I came across, and it is simply adorable. Nothing wrong with being a generic sailor and nurse from that famous photograph most people know. Consider this if you don't want to be too flashy, but you still want to be a cute couple at the party.
