Why Country Concerts Are The Best Summer Tradition

There is nothing that screams "America" like a good ole country concert. Country concerts have become a summer tradition in many parts of the United States. Some of the best memories I have are at one of these concerts. From Brad Paisley to Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett, Kip Moore, Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood, just to name a few, These artists really are incredible, and there is nothing like a hot summer night with your best friends listening to these people share their gift live. But what is it that really makes these concerts so memorable?

1. It does not matter where you are sitting, the concert is incredible no matter what.

Whether you are sitting front and center or back in the lawn seats, you will have a great time. Sitting as close as possible is amazing for numerous reasons, however, this is expensive and not attainable for everyone. So why not sit in the lawn? Sitting back there is basically a huge party. Everyone is up and dancing and the people you're sitting next to become your best friends for the night.

2. Every one of these artists put on a great show.

I have never been to a country concert where the artist not only sang, but they entertained. Every artist has sounded just as great live as they do on the radio. They do not just stand there and sing their songs, they actually engage with their fans. They talk to us, tell stories, and want you to have the time of your life. Not to mention, they are obviously having the time of their life up on stage as well.

3. The radio show hosts are awesome.

These guys and girls are just as into country music and having a great time as everyone else there. They are always out talking to the fans, giving away tickets, backstage passes, and other giveaways. Engaging with these people is just another part of the country concert experience.

4. Everyone is having fun.

Everyone at the concert is there because they love the same artist you do. They all want to have a great time just like you. You can feel this in the atmosphere; there is no doubt that you and everyone else at the concert are there to have fun.

5. Tailgating.

Who said tailgating was only for sports events? Get to the concert early, blare some good music, eat, drink, and start your night right!

6. There is nothing like screaming and dancing all night long.

Kick up your boots, dance, sing. Even if you do not know the song, pretend you do. Like they always say, "Dance like nobody's watching." And scream when your favorite song comes on. It does not matter—no one is judging you.

7. Don't worry about your outfit too much. You're wearing cowboy boots no matter what.

A dress, a cute shirt and jean shorts, or a skirt—it does not matter what you are wearing. One thing is for sure, though: You are wearing cowboy boots. These are a necessity for any country concert, and they just add to the greatness of the night.

8. Any time with your best friends is a good time.

How could you not have a good time with your best friends? Add some good music to that mix, and you have a great night on your hands.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
