Coping With The End Of 'The Bachelor' Season 20

Coping With The End Of 'The Bachelor' Season 20

Now that "The Bachelor" is over, I can’t help but feel a giant void in my life whenever Monday night comes around. I know I’m not the only one who got that overwhelming feeling of, “What am I supposed to do now?” when the show came to a close. Well, lucky for you, I came up with a list of things you can start doing Monday nights instead of crying over missing your favorite tv show.

Do your school work

I can almost guarantee that I wasn’t the only one who put their school work aside whenever 8 o’clock came rolling around Monday nights. It didn’t matter how long the show was, you stuck it out and waited till after it was finished to get back to your work. Now you can have an extra two hours to focus on your homework every Monday night.

Turn up

Now we can get back to going to Ladies Night every Monday. Some nights you debated between watching "The Bachelor" or going to Ladies Night, but let’s be real, Ben always came first. Now you don’t have to choose! Go out and have fun. Yay for socializing!

Workout

OK, am I the only one who noticed that like all the girls this season had perfect bodies? There I was eating ice cream every Monday night watching these girls at the beach in their bikinis. Instead of saying, “Omg their body is perfff,” now I can actually go get that body for myself.

TV

If you aren’t a social person and don’t like moving, I’m sure there is another show you can watch on TV every Monday night. It won’t be as good as "The Bachelor," but you can manage until "The Bachelorette" airs. If there is nothing on TV, Netflix is always the way to go.

Go stalk Ben and Lauren

They have social media for a reason: they want to be stalked. Or better than stalking a couple you don’t even know and living vicariously through them, why don’t you….

Go find your own guy

I’m sure there are a few Ben look-alikes roaming around your area. However, you will be highly disappointed when you come to realize that you will not be going on the types of dates you saw on "The Bachelor." There won’t be fireworks going off when you kiss or background music to complete the moment. Fair warning, just be ready for disappointment.

Apply to be a contestant on the next "Bachelor" season

This might be the answer to all your life problems. You’re welcome.

Sleep

If none of these things are as satisfying as watching "The Bachelor," there is always sleeping to escape your problems. Extra sleep is a good thing. You can dream about "The Bachelor" and you will wake up feeling good. Killing two birds with one stone.

Following these steps may relieve the pain that you feel, but let's be real, we will not feel better until "The Bachelorette" airs in May. At least I can pretend to be optimistic.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
