Just recently, I spent a good hour and a half looking for my phone, only to discover that it had been in my sweatshirt pocket the entire time. If this sounds like something you would do, then you fit alongside me into a unique category of people who lose everything. It's always the items that we need on a daily basis that we continue to lose, like our car keys, credit cards, phone, and wallet. No matter what the item is, chances are you've probably lost it at some point.
1. You are always late because you can't leave the house without your car keys (which 9/10 times are lost).
2. You've spent endless minutes looking for something that ended up being in your hand or right in front of you the whole time.
3. You probably have that short prayer to St. Anthony who is the patron saint of lost or stolen articles memorized by now. But just incase you don't, "Tony, Tony, please come around, something is lost that now must be found."
4. You tear apart your entire room looking for stuff you've lost so you're room is never clean.
5. People always nag you to use the find my iPhone feature but you claim you have no need for it.
6. You sometimes accuse your roommates of stealing your stuff because how could you possibly lose something as simple as a t- shirt.
7. You have to trust your friends to hold onto all of your valuables whenever you go somewhere public.
8. You love petite wallets and purses but you can't use them because you'll probably lose them along with all the valuables that you'll keep inside.
9. Your parents refuse to buy you nice things because they know that you will lose them.
10. So then you steal your siblings stuff...but then eventually, you lose that, too.
11. On more than one occasion you have lost a $20 bill that you thought was in your pocket the whole time.
12. One thing you definitely don't lose is food.
13. You never watch TV because you can never find the remote.
14. At least, you're good at hide n' seek and scavenger hunts.
15. In edition to losing objects, you always lose track of the time which only makes you more late for things.
16. You've decided that you will try to be more careful and conscious of where you put things, but let's be real, you are never aware.
17. You've lost something that wasn't yours and have had to have that extremely awkward, "I'm really, really sorry and I feel terrible but I lost your...." conversation.
18. Now your friends know better then to let you borrow their stuff.
19. If someone leaves something at your house chances are that they will never see it again.
20. You can locate every single lost and found on campus.
21. The person in charge of the lost and found room/box knows your first name. "Hey Hannah, what did you lose this time?"
22. You can't help but wonder how skinny you would be if losing weight was as easy as losing all your belongings.
23. When people call you a loser you have a hard time actually disagreeing with them.
24. Losing all this stuff occasionally leads to you losing your mind.
Yes, you always have that habit of losing things but at least, you can say that you have never lost your sense of pride? Right? From loss, we are able to learn the value of things. Also on the bright side, it is impossible for you to lose this article.
