College. It’s a love-hate relationship. We love the freedom and independence but hate the time consuming work and studying. Not to mention procrastination, every college students’ number one enemy. College is also a time of questioning. Here are some of the questions that college students are constantly asking.
1. Why am I here?
We always second guess our decisions. It’s a part of life. So instead of contemplating whether you should have attended community college for a couple years, just have faith in your choice. After all, YOU are the only person who knows yourself 100% inside and out.
2. What am I doing with my life?
Three quizzes in one week , ten chapters to read, exams upon exams, and lovely research papers. It is typical to ask ‘what the hell am I doing’? And ‘why am I doing this to myself’? Nobody ever said college is going to be an easy ride. I have yet to meet somebody who says college is simple.
3. Can I go home now?
We don’t realize how much we love home until we leave it. All throughout high school we can’t wait for college. Then graduation arrives and we are quickly tossed into a whole new chapter of our lives. One in which we learn how to become independent and master time management skills. It’s no wonder why we want to go home. Sometimes we must escape all the overwhelming responsibilities and hectic new schedules on our shoulders. After all, going home means no doing laundry, real food, and a normal sized shower.
4. Is it time for bed?
Pretty sure most college students would sleep all day if they weren’t swamped with work to do. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to sleep because you have to study or write that research paper you procrastinated on for three months.
5. Is this worth it?
Is all of this aggravation really worth it? Well, I really hope so considering the thousands that I am paying to get a college degree.
6. Can I Just not deal with people today?
College is when our patience towards people is really being tested. But hey, I guess it is better to learn how to deal with people’s stupidity sooner rather than later.
7. Will I make it out alive?
As difficult as this journey is, I guarantee you will most certainly make it out alive.
