I’ve picked up a graphic design gig and I’ve been drawing more like I used to in middle school. So as expected, I’ve been working with colors lately. I decided to do some research on colors and see if/how they are linked to one’s personality, and I was surprised by my findings:

Your favorite color defines your personality. If you have more than one favorite color then you share certain traits from those colors. On the flip side, the color you hate the most reveals insecurities or weakness in your personality.

Red is the color of passion and energy. Red lovers are known to be very action-oriented. They see the world through the five senses and strive for physical fulfillment. They are extroverted, optimistic and adventurous.

Orange is the color of sociability and communication. Orange lovers are people lovers. They feel the need to be a part of a group or community. They are people-persons, motivated by those around them.

Yellow is the color of intellect. Yellow lovers strive for logical order in their lives. They like to use their logical mind to come up with creative ideas or express creativity.

Green is the color of security. It’s also the color of money, so it’s no surprise that these guys wish to feel financially and emotionally secure in their lives. These people are practical, down-to-earth, and seek stability in their lives.

Blue is the color of trust and peace. Blue lovers are conservative, reliable and trustworthy. These guys are not impulsive, often thinking before doing something. They are genuine, sincere and true to their values.

Indigo is the color of intuition. Indigo lovers are moody and introspective, often searching for the meaning of life. These guys enjoy structure and rituals and often employ it in their lives.

Purple is the color of imagination. They are creative, but can be impractical at times. They are also humanitarian and have a deep need to help the world in some way.

Pink is the color of unconditional love and nurturing. Pink lovers are warm and friendly. They have maternal instincts and are good nurturers. Pink lovers are also sensitive, reserved and calm, which may give an impression of shyness.

Brown Lovers are down-to-earth, steady and reliable. They need to live a safe, secure, and comfortable life with the things and people they know. These guys are often home-bodies and value family life and friendships.

Black is the color of power. Black lovers are independent, strong willed, and like to be in control of situations. Prestige and power are important to them. They enjoy giving an aura of sophistication and mystery to those around them.

White is a color of innocence and purity. White lovers are well balanced, sensible, and wise. They tend to think before acting as they are not prone to impulsive behavior. They wish to create simplicity in their lives, often longing for their childhood days.

Grey lovers are in the middle of the road. They are cool, conserved, composed, and reliable. They tend to conform just to keep the peace. They view life through an objective lens, almost to the point of being indifferent about it. They are indecisive and afraid of commitment.

What’s your favorite color?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
