College Problems, As Told By The Kardashians

Summer is officially coming to a close, and that means it’s time for us college students to prepare for the fall semester... unfortunately. It's the time of year we must accept our fate, reminding ourselves that it "isn't that bad". However, over my last two years as a college student I’ve discovered a few obnoxious, but some inevitable, situations throughout the semester. Here’s a list of fifteen scenarios you'll probably experience over the next four years-- oh, and they’re told by the hilariously relatable moments of the Kardashian family:

When your friends leave you behind at the end of the summer:

I'm pretty sure I'm a lot more fun than calculus, but whatever, just leave me here alone.

When you're not sure whether to be excited or nervous for the first day back:

To be honest though, I'm probably swaying towards dropping out.

When you walk into your 8 AM, and decide you'd definitely rather sleep until noon:

8 AM classes should be illegal, anyway.

When your professor reviews the syllabus, and you realize there's an assignment due the next class:

Pretty sure I'm not getting that in on time. I need at least seven days to adjust.

When your professors think their class is your only class:

At this point I'm going to have to plan my meals, and exactly how many hours of sleep I can attempt each night.

When you don't have any friends in your classes:

I hope there aren't any group projects.

When someone decides to take your seat after three weeks:

I hope you know I'm just going to steal that back.

When your professor is always late:

How do you always manage to show up right before I can leave!?

When you get your first assignment only to realize you forgot how to "school":

Wait, what's MLA format?

When your professor only takes off 5 points for late assignments:

So, you mean if I hand it in a week late I can still pass? Sold.

When you receive your first A:

I have never loved until this very day.

When group projects turn into a fight for power:

I thought this was supposed to boost my grade.

When you have to pay for an education, textbooks and food, but still feed your shopping addiction:

Hey, could you pass the ramen?

When you find yourself up at 3 AM staring at your notes:

Or some of you will find yourself here:

When your family only talks to you to ask how college is going:

Although we like to joke about the stresses of college, in reality it's the best few years of our lives. Sure, it'll make us want to rip out our hair, but it'll also prepare us for the future. So watch out world, here I come with a degree in... wait what's my major again?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
