No Parents

Let's put this rule up on number 1. There are no parents in college. Everyone likes having their own freedom, that is what makes college great for the kids that want to leave their parents house and start a new chapter. I mean.... unless they obviously follow you to your university.
Create Your Own Schedule

Unlike High Schools where you are provided with your 8 hour schedule Monday through Friday of each week, college you are able to create your schedule of each day. If you aren't a morning person, you don't have to start class until later on. Or if you are a morning person, you can start at 8 am.
You Can Start All Over

From going to a local school or to a school way out of town, you can start over. You can start over in your reputation, friendships, likes/dislikes, etc. College is the time in your life where you figure out yourself and not who you had to be in High School.
Endless Activities

From collegiate sports to club athletics to university associated clubs; you can find anything you are already involved in or something you are curious to try. In High School there aren't as many options provided as there is in college. Go out, be active, and try something a little different.
Dorm Rooms

Okay, this can be both taken good and bad. But with dorms comes a possible best friend or multiple friends that happen to live on the same floor as you. You don't always get your privacy but you know you can vent to someone that is literally a foot away, instead of the usual permission to go see your buddy after school to talk.
No Bed Time

This is a major plus. Obviously your parents can "tell you" when they would like you back on campus but other than that you are free to hang out at any time and any place. In HS the dreaded times of when you have to be home for supper or for bed is extinct when moving up to the adult world.
Explore The New City

When you leave your town of 18 years to finally attend college, you might be moving to a whole new area. This would give you the ability to explore the new area you are living for the next 4 years.
Watch Collegiate Sports

With either your college being competitive in sports or the rivaling school being a BIG sports school. Wveryone likes to watch a bit of athletics. The difference between your teen years and adult hood is the games or way more competitive and way more rowdy.
