College Told Through Gilmore Girls
CW

College has its ups and downs, but overall it's a good time. You are now on your own, away from your parents for the first time in your lives and you're making the most of it. Whether it be dealing with awkward encounters in the dorms, to counting your coins for that not-so-needed cup of coffee, you're becoming an official college student. And soon enough, you're realizing that you are a bit too similar to Rory when she attended Yale. But I mean, is that really so bad? Here's a few more ways Gilmore Girls may be a bit too similar to your life style:

1. You need coffee. You can't make it to your 8am or stay awake for that study group at 8pm without it.

2. Poptarts are your main breakfast food when there is no time for Lukes... I mean the dining hall.

3. You're finding yourself and your inner passions (even if your parents don't agree with them).

4. You are also learning your priorities in life.

5. And there's nothing like seeing your parents on parents weekend.

6. You will have some days that just suck.

7. Or you will get to the point where you just can't deal with people anymore.

8. Your parents may question your changes to your major.

9. There are so many eligible guys and you can't figure out why none of them like you, I mean...

right?

10. And when they do like you, you have a panic attack every time.

11. You try and use as little utensils and plates as possible, because who is going to clean them?

12. You may leave with all your work done, but you somehow manage to come back with more work to do than you left with.

13. You're always broke.

14. And after you leave a frat house a bit intoxicated...

15. You become the best ranter. It's what you do after someone asks "how's your day been?"

16.Pizza, Chinese, and chips are your main food groups #freshman15.

17. You get the weirdest food cravings at the most random of times.

18. And we all have that friend who is the best yet also worst influence on you.

19. And in the end, you realize you just aren't cut out for college!

Jk, stay in college! And get ready because our favorite girls are coming back November 25th for their revival series! I know I'm excited!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
