As the last items of our end-of-the-semester to-do list are checked off and we feel the relief of yet another semester finish, we have the joy of crossing these completed classes off our curriculum guides/plans of study.
And if you're anything like me, the joy from a big, red check off of a listed item like, "study the 500+ flash cards for a comprehensive economics final," or a big, red "X" off my program of study for my last general education class is sure hard to beat.
But if there is one thing that can beat this checklist, it would be a Christmas break bucket list.
1. Continually check for final grades. Press refresh until grades are posted.
And pray you don't regret checking when you see that you were 3 points short from the next grade up.
2. Bake (and eats) lots and lots of Christmas cookies.
There's something about our oven from home that makes the heart (and tastebuds) happy.
3. Hallmark Christmas movies.
Even when you have watched so many that you can predict each and every ending.
4. Visit Santa Claus.
I know him.
5. Visit old friends.
And maybe play some reindeer games.
6. Eat the four main food groups to make up for what we missed while eating in the dining center.
Yes, that four.
7. Build a snowman.
And make him come to life.
8. Wish for summer. Complain about winter.
And then realize you better start applying for those summer internships with rapidly approaching deadlines.
9. Miss our college town, college friends and college life.
Just try not to hate your hometown too much.
10. Play in the snow. Well, maybe.
With global warming and such...
