You know how you see those people walking around, and you kinda look at them struggling, and you're like, "Wow, that person is a hottttttt mess "? Yeah, that's me. Hopefully usually a little less painfully obvious, but yep, that's me. Welcome to my life. Every day is a hilarious struggle considering I'm constantly some type of disaster for any variety of reasons that usually just have to do with the fact that I walk around half the time not knowing what I'm doing and just kind of hoping it ends up well (hint: it usually goes doesn't and goes downhill pretty fast in these situations lmao). I'm sure many of you feel me, and if you do, then you'll probably find the rest of this extremely and tragically relatable.

1. Never have any idea what you're doing ever

Literally just exactly what it says. I personally never have any idea what I'm trying to do or what my plans are, but that doesn't seem to stop me. Just kinda do things and hope they turn out okay, to be honest.

2. Don't care about a single thing, but at the same time care about everything wayyyy too much (including the fact that you don't care)

Legit the weirdest sensation ever. Constantly a weird little battle in your head or heart or stomach or wherever like, wait, I don't care, but I think I do at the same time... Or do I care that I don't care because I feel like I should? Idk, I'm just confused at this point.

3. Convince anyone and everyone you're going to do something and then do the complete opposite like all the time

Just when you think you actually maybe beat #1 and know what you're gonna do, chances are you won't stick with it. It's okay. I've also told everyone I was actually going to go to the gym and ended up in bed eating Ben and Jerry's straight out of the carton. We've all been there.

4. Put everything off until the last possible second and then wonder why your life is a complete disaster and you have so many things to do

Have a paper, a quiz, and a midterm this week? It's okay. Just tell yourself you're feeling completely and totally prepared so that you wait until the night before each is due and have a major meltdown because you realized you know absolutely nothing.

5. Make sure to have at least 5 awkward and cringe-worthy encounters a day

True story here that sums this one all up: My friend was checking out a store one day when the cashier asked her, "Did you find everything okay?" and she literally responded "You too," paid, and walked away. Not until after we left the store did she realize what had happened and that it was about the most awkward thing of her entire life.

But honestly, if you're looking for a real tip just take after me: find some people who are about as much of a hot mess as you are, move in with at least one of them, and proceed to live your hot messes of lives together. That way, when you're a mess, it feels funnier because all your friends are messes too.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
