Storytelling is an art within itself. To be able to capture the true nature of a creative while having your own expressive spin on things takes a directional as well as an intentional focus. It all sums down to how you do highlight the creator while still being creative. CEO of TalentedOnes Media, Justin Sheppard, has the blueprint on creative media and has been diligently working on his company since early 2016.

The Houston native describes his company as an outlet to unfolding the stories of talented people. He summarizes his creative drive in proudly showcasing "interviewees off in the most creative light from the Interview show perspective [and] from a photography/videographer point of view is to just progress in my content and to always get a message across whether it's subliminal or directly stated."

When divulging what underlying aspects about what sets TalentedOnes Media apart from others, it starts with the background. Sheppard was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Humble, Texas. Houston on its own is a diversified mecca of creative inspiration.

Mix that background with Sheppard growing up with musical influences such as his grandmother who was a music instructor and his own musical capabilities in playing the drums, you have a well-versed CEO in the creative world. Sheppard highlights that he wrote music, raps, poetry and that "the process of making music or just listening to music is therapeutic." Music is one of the most sought after, talked about and universal elements of media.

Music reflects a lot of creativity and encompasses a lot of varying aspects to reflect other creative notions such as art, fashion, etc. In short, music is a holy grail creative playing field that Sheppard has navigated and encompassed well in his interviews.

TalentedOnes Media's youtube channel features various musical creatives, but music isn't the only media element TalentedOnes Media hones in on. From content on fashion to modeling, there are other ventures the company plans to head its direction towards and has already started pursuing.

One of the highest viewed videos on the TalentedOnes Media's YouTube channel is with For The Leaux, a popular up and coming clothing brand, CEO Victor Madu. Sheppard's capability to diversify his content shows that he's a forced to be reckoned with in the media world. Sheppard reveals plans to venture even further into a short film, documentaries and concept photography.

Sheppard's creative drive is effortlessly shown throughout his content. His latest interview with Ejay Mallard showcases his professional quality filming and poise as an interviewer. A popular question asked in his interviews regards a preference on the journey or the destination. When asked the question himself, Sheppard revealed that "you learn everything about your destination on your journey. You learn how to win, you learn how to lose but most importantly you grow as a person. I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't learned from my journey, and I still have more learning to do."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
