If College Majors Were Candy Canes

Every major has their own flavor.

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is the candy, chocolate, and cookies. Likewise, every college major has their own set of stereotypes that can be summed up in just about anything. This includes candy cane flavors:

1. Education Majors - Sour Patch Kids Candy Canes.

Their students can be sour or sweet!

2. Math Majors - Hot Cinnamon Candy Canes.

Just why? And how?

3. Science Majors - Naturally Flavored Candy Canes.

Good for your body and good for the environment.

4. Nursing Majors - Life Savers Candy Canes.

Need I say more?

5. English Majors - Jelly Belly Candy Canes.

So many flavors and colors- just like the world of literature.

6. Art Majors - Klondike Candy Canes.

Interesting and creative.

7. Music Majors - Hawaiian Punch Candy Canes.

Sounds questionable at first, but gets better over time.

8. Communications Majors - Hershey's Candy Canes.

Classic.

9. Engineering/Physics Majors - Dum Dum Candy Canes.

Just because they're anything but Dum.

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.

Remembering the Memorial in Memorial Union

Sometimes it's hard to remember that Memorial Union at the University of Missouri is actually a memorial, not just a place to take a nap on a couch and get Starbucks.

Soccer, Spain and Racism

When we think of events that have transpired in the US over the last few years, a lot of it ends up in spotlighting the division in the country. However, things across the pond seem to be no better - at least when it comes to sports. Last week, Real Madrid - arguably the richest sports franchise in the world, had one of their Brazilian strikers subject to vicious racist attacks in Valencia. The player, Vini Jr posted this example video in his Insta account:
