1. Education - "Start of Something New" (HSM)

The beginning of a new school year is always a brand-new start. New students, new classes, and new experiences. Much like Gabriella's starting a new semester at East High, you never know what's in store, but hopefully, it will turn out great!

2. Dance - "Bop to the Top" (HSM)

"Move it to the groove till the music stops" and hopping, bopping, sliding, jumping, and shimmying? A perfect (though simplistic) description of a dancer. Also, the costumes are fantastic

3. Cultural Anthropology - "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" (HSM 2)

Cultural anthropologists study past and present societies and their cultures, including fables similar to Sharpay's tale of a fish that turns into a prince

4. English Literature - "Can I Have This Dance" (HSM 3)

The best of all the Troy-Gabriella love songs in the franchise, the rooftop dance sequence seems straight out of a classic novel

5. Psychology - "Work This Out" (HSM 2)

Understanding people, their problems, and helping them work through them is all part of psychology, just like when Troy gets his East High friends to work through their issues at Lava Springs Country Club

6. Fashion Design - "Fabulous" (HSM 2)

Sharpay is the queen of fashion, and her high-end fashion favorites - Jimmy Choo, Prada, Tiffany - are places future designers may dream of working at someday

7. Nursing/Pre-Med - "We're All in This Together" (HSM)

Nursing is hard. work. Difficult classes, long hours, and more are all what future nurses sign up for, and they stick together, just like the East High crew

8. Music - "You Are the Music in Me" (HSM 2)

Musicians certainly have "harmonies and melodies echoing inside [their] heads" like Troy and Gabriella
