Some of you may be aware of the fact that as of this past week, Hannah Montana is now 10 years old. Yes, you read that right. Miley Cyrus has been a household name since March of 2006. I still remember being the 10 year old who watched every episode religiously and knew almost all of the songs by heart. (Okay, some of them I still know. But we're not here to judge.) As a fun way to commemorate its anniversary, here are a few ways that a childhood staple for many of us is still somewhat relatable in the wonderful world that is college.
1. When getting up for morning classes becomes the ultimate struggle:
8 A.M. classes aren't for the weak.
2. When professors test you on material that wasn't covered in class:
3. When friends talk about getting that "ring by spring":
Do onion rings count?
4. When you can't tell if food at the dining hall is edible or not:
Sometimes McDonald's is actually the better choice.
5. When you need to ask a professor for help or an extension on a project:
6. When someone from your group project actually helps with the work:
It's a one in a million chance.
7. When it's the weekend and you make your transformation from sleep deprived student to semi-put-together human being:
8. When that one assignment deadline sneaks up on you:
Do tomorrow, or due tomorrow?
9. When you're home on break and someone tries to ask you how school is going:
Let's avoid the forbidden subject, please.
10. When you realize that college life is hectic and crazy, but it's also one of the best times of your life:
*feelings all around*
I hope you all enjoyed reading this and that I could help you reminisce a little on your childhood. Because comparing growing up to being in college is definitely seeing the best of both worlds, right? Happy anniversary, Hannah Montana. Thanks for being what ten year old Meredith once thought was the greatest show of all time.
