College can be a lot to deal with at times, and sometimes we need some hacks to help us figure it all out. These hacks are fool proof and are perfect for those busy college students on the go.

1. Haven’t showered in a while? No biggie! Why even bother showering when dry shampoo is readily available. If you hair is dirty, throw some dry shampoo on it and throw a hat on. No one will be able to tell you haven’t washed your hair in five days.

2. Hungry? No problem. No time? No problem. Grab a pack of ramen noodles and eat them straight out of the bag! They sure are crunchy, but they taste just as good. Fast quality food is hard to come by.

3. Haven’t changed your sheets in a while? Oh well! Simply grab a can of febreze and basically spray the entire bottle on your bed! Sure there may be Chinese food take out stains on your sheets, but it’ll still smell like a cotton sky!

4.Tired but have to go to class? You got this one! All you have to do is lay down with a cozy blanket, shut your eyes, think about rainbows and butterflies and fall asleep! Who needs to go to class anyways?

5. Didn’t study for your test? Good thing there’s an easy trick for this one! Right before you head to your exam, put your book under your pillow, lay down and take a 20-minute power nap! All of the information will basically be absorbed into your head and you’ll be good to go!

6. Need groceries but don’t have money? That’s an easy fix! Just go outside and find the nearest tree/bush and simply pick stray berries and leaves off of it! They are just as good as the store bought stuff and will fill you up in no time!

7. Have homework but just too busy to do any of it? Not a problem! Homework can be a pain when your schedule is packed full! All you have to do is go to www.netflix.com and select a show and watch it. That’ll solve everything!

8. Super stressed out and have a ton of stuff to do? Easy! College can be stressful and the list of stuff we need to do is endless. On those days that you just have too much to do and can’t even spare a second to use the restroom, simply walk to your bed, pull the covers over your head and fall asleep.

9. Friend having a party but you have to study? It’s okay! The solution to this one is easy. All you need to do is close your textbook, close your laptop, put those flashcards away, and go to your closet and pick out the cutest party outfit and head out the door to the party. No need to study when there is a party happening!

10. Feel a little fat today? This one is simple! All you have to do is head to your closet, put on your most comfy pair of sweat pants and your most comfy sweatshirt, put on some slippers, head out the door and decide what your going to get at Chipotle.

College is a lot of fun, and with these simple life hacks, it doesn’t have to be hard! Enjoy college as much as you can and these college life hacks should help you get the most out of your college experience!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
