Taylor Swift Flawlessly Sums Up Your College Experience

In this roller coaster of times that is college, there is only one person we can turn to in order to accurately describe our encounters. Taylor Swift perfectly describes our freshman years of high school and now she's perfectly summarized the college experience. Behold,

1. "Tonight's the night that we forget about the deadlines"

When you go out on a Tuesday even though you are fully aware that you have a major paper due the next day.

2. "You should've said no. You should've gone home."

What you tell yourself the next day after you went out and failed the major paper.

3. "Once upon a time, a few mistakes ago"

Your new unit of measure when you tell stories.

4. "And I think about summer all the beautiful times"

When you think back to your last summer and how carefree you were, with no school work or obligations.

5. "You could write a book on how to ruin someone's perfect day"

When you think you're not going to have anything to do one day and then your professor assigns a huge project.

6. "Don't be afraid to jump then fall"

When you have to remind yourself that college is a time to make mistakes and learn from them.

7. "You might think I'm bullet proof, but I'm not"

When you get sick and think of all the people around you who are doing just fine.

8. "And I don't know how it gets better than this"

When you're with all these new people in this new place and you can't help but smile about how awesome college is.

9. "Wasn't it easier in your lunchbox days"

When you're having one of those days when everything is hard and you wish your mom was there to feed and care for you.

10. "I'm sick and tired of your attitude"

When your roommate eats the last box of mac n cheese.

11. "Because these things will change, can you feel it now?"

What you tell yourself when you're out of clean clothes, out of snacks, and drowning in homework.

12. "Some day I'll be living in a big ole city"

When you remember how good you have it and that soon you'll be in the real world with even more real responsibilities.

13. "Oh I don't wanna grow up, wish I'd never grow up"

When you have to do your own laundry.

14. "There I was again tonight, forcing laughter, faking smiles"

Rush.

15. "Your eyes whispered "have we met", across the room your silhouette starts to make its way to me"

When you fall in love with a random frat boy, and it turns out you're just standing in front of his fraternity brother he's going to talk to.

16. "The night you danced like you knew your lives would never be the same"

When you finally find the group of friends who will dance like nobody is watching with you.

17. "If you were here we'd laugh about their vacant stares"

When you need your friends from home to get your humor and laugh at inside jokes with you.

18. "I was reminiscing just the other day, while having coffee all alone and Lord, it took me away"

When no one will go to the dining hall with you for breakfast and you are left alone with your coffee and thoughts.

19. "Everyone here was someone else before"

When you stop and realize that everyone here came from different backgrounds and now you're all here together.

20. "But I keep cruising, can't stop won't stop moving"

When you're late to class, and cold, and tired, but you just have to keep going.

21. "Just because you're clean, don't mean you don't miss it"

When you don't go out for two nights.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
