Everyone knows the iconic "Mean Girls" movie, whether you have seen the gifs, watched it once or 100 times, or can recite the whole thing word for word (I can, I swear). Everyone kind of knows about college, what it does to you, and what it can do for you, but the two have never really mixed despite being very relatable to each other. I mean, high school and college are different but not that different. So this is college life as told by "Mean Girls":
1. When you first come to campus for Welcome Week and everyone is yelling, chanting and telling you to get involved and get excited

2. Of course you don’t know what anything is or what anything does when you finally walk into the gym for the first time ever.
3. How you feel when you are studying and you can hear the music of the person next to you as clear as day.
Like seriously dude, I shouldn't be able to hear you listening to the 1975 over me listening to The Weeknd in my headphones.
4. When you are trying to eat healthy but it’s Wing Wednesday (& let's be honest Taco Tuesday is just as vital).
5. When your crush is flirting with another girl but of course you haven't told your crush that you even like him yet so in your head you are just like...
Maul her, maul her like a puma! But only inside your head of course!
6. Seeing your RA at a party and sighing in relief when they don't say anything.
And she doesn't say anything about your actions the next day when she sees you vigorously studying (or Netflix-ing) in the neutral zone.
7. Pretending to be sick so your friends let you study for one weekend without being disturbed with their antics.
8. When the end of the first semester is near and you can’t way to go back home and get in the holiday spirit without being judged.
But if we are being honest with ourselves, who doesn't blast Mariah Carey's renditions of Christmas music and dance wildly around their house? I know I do.
9. The death look and eye roll you give people in your lecture class when they won't stop talking and you are just trying to get your notes done.
10. When you get the paycheck on Friday or when your parents send you money.
Let's be honest, we all blow through that money a lot faster than we would like to. Thanks college, I appreciate you constantly bleeding my wallet dry with your books, food, and fun.
11. When the weekend arrives and you are the only one who wants to have reckless fun because your friends all need to "study".
It isn't so fun when the roles are reversed, but you understand, despite being annoyed at first, that your friends' academics are just as important as yours.
12. When you get your first A on one of your exams and feel on top of the world.
13. When all those cheaper food options aren’t helping the whole “being healthy” binge.
14. The start of midterms and finals begins and all of the stress just hits you like a bus, figuratively of course.
15. When you finally talk to that super cute guy in your class, it actually goes semi-decent, and as always, your confidence shoots through the roof.
16. Finding out you still did bad on that assignment, quiz, or exam even though you studied for weeks.
